Miya was adopted tonight by the O family. It was a match made in heaven, and she will have the most wonderful furever home. She will have a Golden sister (Clover), who is a puppy mill girl and was also adopted from RAGOM, and a sister (Miffy), who is a smaller dog.
Miya and Clover get along like two peas in a pod. Being a puppy mill girl, Miya will really be good for Clover. It was sad to see her go as she was a very, very good girl.
We know you will enjoy your new furever home, Miya. We will miss you terribly, but we love new happy beginnings!

It's time that I introduced myself. I am Miya. I came from Iowa. My previous owners had a wonderful fenced-in backyard that I could run around in. Then they moved and were not allowed to put up a fence. When I went out into the yard I was on a tie out, and I did not do well at all on that tie-out (hence, a fenced-in yard is required).
So they lovingly called RAGOM, because they knew that RAGOM would find me a wonderful furever home. I know that my foster mom and dad who graciously offered to help me find that wonderful furever home will do just that.
I am 8 years old but still love to play, play, play so another dog who will play with me is required. I was taken to the good doctor for a going over. I am in good health. I weighed 70.5 pounds but have been going on a lot of walks with one of the resident dogs, so will probably go down a little.
This past weekend on Saturday, October 20, I went down to the Great Iowa Pet Expo and I was the hit of the party. A lot of people fell in love with me. One guy even came back three times to pet me and sit with me and just love, love, love on me. Several people came back twice to see me. I loved everybody, young and old, but I tended to gravitate to the males.
I get along really well with the five resident dogs. There are three of them that I love to play, play, play with.
I would like to play with the cats, but even though they are dog savvy, they do not seem to want to play with me. So I sit and just stare at them, or I sit and stare down the cat door that goes into the basement just hoping that maybe they may change their minds.
I love to play with balls and toys, and I love to chew on bones and antlers. I love to be petted and doted on and will lean into you for more of that. I have a great disposition.
Foster mom says that I am as about as perfect as they get. If you want all of the loving you can get and think that I will be a good fit in your family, then I am just the girl for you.
