Hi, everyone! My name is Jessa and I am an incredibly sweet 11-week-old Goldendoodle, if I do say so myself! My siblings, Coconut 14-230, Charlie 14-232, Betty 14-233, and Chowder 14-234, along with four 7-month-old Goldendoodle boys were rescued by RAGOM on 8/2/14 and became part of the RAGOM family.
My foster sisters and I
I have had a busy life these past two weeks and have loved every minute of it. I have two full-sized Goldendoodle foster sisters that I adore. I am very good with them and do not pester them, but do try to engage them in play as long as it is not rough. If they are running fast outside, I move out of the way so I don't get run over!
Running
I do like to run around the backyard and FM says I have a bit of a bunny hop going on. We went to former foster Nicole's house for a playdate and I had fun with the big pups! I made friends with Dylan, Chester, and Sadie, and Chester slept over for a few days. I have met quite a few dogs and have loved each one.
FM, my foster-sisters, and I took a long weekend to hang out at a lake with friends. While my foster sisters go nuts for swimming the lake and fetching tennis balls, I really did not want much to do with the water. FM lifted me up and put my legs and belly in the water and my legs knew what to do, but I did not want to stay in. However, being on the pontoon on the lake is a totally different thing. I LOVED it!
Boating
I also had a blast running around and wrestling with foster puppy, Piper 14-203. We played a lot and wore each other out.
Piper 14-203 and I
After a lot of fresh air and playtime, it was time for us to head back home. We did our best to plead with FM to stay a few more days, but she had to get back to work.
FM thinks I will be around 60-75 pounds when fully grown. I am a snuggler and like to be cuddled. Hanging out on the big bed with my foster sisters and laying on the body pillows is a lot of fun! Though I am a bit of a hot box and have found I like the coolness of the tile on the bathroom floor too. I prefer to be in the same room with FM and the other dogs and like to lay by FM's chair or under the desk while she is working on the computer.
I am pretty well crate trained but not house trained. That is still a work in progress. I have had my first set of shots and was microchipped and spayed last Wednesday, so I am all ready to meet families that might want to adopt me. I would love another playmate as long as the play style is not too rough, but can be an only dog too as long as I get plenty of socialization with other dog friends.
Love to my fans
Jessa
A little note from FM: Puppies can be a lot of work, and sweet Jessa is no exception. She will require socialization, training, and exposure to a lot of new things to become a happy and confident adult dog. While Goldendoodles generally shed less that Golden Retrievers, they do require significant grooming to keep their coats in good condition. Grooming may be required every 4-8 weeks as the hair grows fast.
Jessa is an absolutely wonderful puppy and will become a big dog quickly. Contact your placement advisor if you would like to meet her.
