Piper 07-586

Profile

Meet Piper a 10 month old female. Piper is a new arrival in foster care so not too much is yet known about her except the following: The reason for Piper's surrender was she flunked out of hunting class and her prior owner had hopes of using her for a hunting dog. She is crate trained, knows how to sit and shake. She usually comes when called and it learning to walk well on a Gentle Leader. Piper is a most young dogs full of enery--maybe more than most and it fun watching her run like the wind. Best of all she seems like a very nice dog.

After Piper's short time in foster care I feel she would do best with a fenced yard due to her high energy level. She gets along very well with the resident golden and in fine with cats.

If you would like to meet Piper, and are an approved applicant please contact placement.

With tears streaming down my face, I write to let you know that Piper (07-586) went to the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, Dec. 17.  The vet found a mass in her belly that was causing her extreme discomfort and could not be safely removed.  We had to make the most difficult decision and stop her suffering.

In an update I sent in 2010, "She warmed our hearts with her vibrant energy and in just a few days became a true member of our family". Piper had been with us for over 10 years and brought so much joy to our us each and every day. Our hearts are broken.

She has been reunited with her sister Madison and I know they are running together once again (Piper is in front of photo).  Thank you RAGOM for rescuing her and bringing her to our family.

With love and sadness,

Piper or Baby Pipes as we call her, came to our family 2 years ago.  She warmed our hearts with her vibrant energy and in just a few days became a true member of our family.  Her favorite activities are chasing her fur sister Madison, keeping our yard critter free (she makes nightly rounds) and cuddling with us wherever she can.  She is pretty small, just about 45 pounds and is confident she can squeeze herself anywhere to be close to you.  It is hard to imagine what our life was like without her.  Thank you Ragom for taking her in and bringing her home.

Picture is from a few days ago and shows what a pretty and petite lady she has become.  We love you Baby Pipes!
