Roxi 08-028

Profile

Have you ever heard of the "Red Hat Society"?  It is a group of very distinguished ladies who lunch together and wear a fancy red hats.   If Molly and Roxi were human they would be "Red Hat Ladies"  they are very prim and proper and so well turned out!

These ladies must be adopted together as they have been together their whole life.    They were well loved, and well socialized.  They are house trained, crate trained, they walk well on a leash, they are perfect house companions, both are spayed, UTD on shots, and have no bad habits that I can tell.   They are WONDERFUL- Happy go lucky ladies!

If you have room for two in your heart and in your house for an 8 year old Molly (white face) and a 9 year old Roxi (pink collar)- who will come into your home and give you all the love you could ever want- then these are the ladies for you!

Molly has a thyroid issue- just one pill a day and all is well, and Roxi has allergies (but who knows a Golden who is not allergic to something)?

Right now Molly is laying under my chair as I type (snoring) and Roxi is getting love from her foster dad.

These girls are ready to go to their forever home!!!!!!

Our time with Roxie is almost up as her FM and FD will be back later today.  While she was here, she had total roam of the house day and night and all the rules were respected.  What a fantastic house guest she has been.  She still is trying to get our kitties to play but they are still not wanting to play with her.  Roxie came out of her shell a little and started playing with the four other dogs.  When they come in from outside, she sure is tired and takes a much need nap.  She is a sweetheart and we are going to miss her ‘smile’ around here!

Temp Foster Mom Jan here – Roxi is so sweet and such a gentle young lady.  She’s a little leery of my two one year olds that just want to play and play and play all day.  Roxi likes to run a few laps with everyone and then sit back and watch.  She is very content to stay beside me and watch those others play themselves silly.  She has found a friend in my Leah though and they have started to play their own little games.  It is so great to see them do their ‘play bow’ and then take off.  What silly girls!

Roxi has fit in with my three dogs and five kitties just perfect.  She loves the kitties and wants them to play with her.  The most they want though is to have their back scratched by a big wet nose.  Roxi will lie on the floor and slap her paw to try and get their attention.  I really need to get that on video because it is amazing to me this little game she seems to want to play.  Roxi will start off sleeping on my bed but then she gets down during the night.  I’m sure she’s out looking for those kitties that seem to wander around during the night.  I know Molly and Roxi have a small dog at their house so maybe Roxi is thinking our kitties should play with her like their little dog does.

Roxi and Molly are quite the pair and have been so easy to take care of.  They require a little food, many hugs and lots of faces to wash and hands to nudge for some pets and scratches (and treats).  These girls are welcome here anytime!

We were at the RAGOM Education event at Petco last weekend.  Molly and Roxi worked the crowd just like Barbara Streisand would.  Molly kissed everyone who came up to say hi, and Roxi was a little shy, but responded enthusiastically to pets and treats.

The one comment that I got a lot was that it would be too hard to adopt two dogs at the same time.  Normally I would agree, but in this case, these two dogs are such easy dogs.  They are already fully trained, have no bad habits, are sweet as pie, and are just as happy going on a walk as sitting next to me watching TV or reading a book.  They are very low maintenance dogs.  Molly needs her 1 pill a day, and Roxi needs to be watched for allergies.  Easy as can be.

We will be at the Petco event in Maple Grove next weekend-  come see us!

The ladies have settled in very nicely and are totally used to their new routine.  They are just like part of the family now.   It is so nice having them around the house, it seems like they have always been there.   They are typical Golden’s in that they exude love and happiness, and when we come home it is just the happiest time ever-  ok maybe dinner time is a little happier- oh yeah, and chewing on bones time is right up there too.

Last night at about midnight- my neighbor decided to let off fireworks-   if anyone can tell my WHY on earth someone would do that in January on a Thursday night- I’d like to know.  Needless to say, I was pretty angry about it and Roxi felt much the same way- she did not approve of it at all!   Molly was just fine though, in fact, I don’t think she even woke up.

Both of these dogs are model canine citizens- the family that chooses to adopt these ladies is a very lucky family indeed.  Roxi and Molly can’t wait to meet you- if you are interested in meeting these ladies, please contact RAGOM.
