Scruffy 18-163

Scruffy 18-163

Profile

Scruffy is an active 11 and goes for medium-length walks but no running or jogging. He came into RAGOM because of his owner’s death. He has wonderful recall, is very loving, and likes to play. Scruffy does have cataracts and a few digestive issues; both are being addressed. Scruffy would be great for a retired person who wants a loving, sociable, walk-with-me/sit-with-me companion.

12-year-old Scruffy hit the jackpot in his new forever family! He is now living with 2 canine brothers and 4 cats, one of whom already loves him. His new mom and dad live on 40 wooded acres with all kinds of trails, which Scruffy adores.

He has a special bed near his mom and dad’s bed and also steps leading up to the big bed in case he would rather rest his senior body there. And, his mom is a veterinarian! Oh my, good for you Scruffy!

Scruffy is now a Minnesota boy. He has been with us for a couple of weeks and is doing very well.

He gets along great with our two other foster dogs and our resident cat. He loves everyone he meets, human or animal. He is a Velcro boy who wants to be by his people.

Harry, can I have some of your energy?

Scruffy has free roam of our house at all times, and there have been no problems. He prefers to sleep next to the bed at night.

We want to say "Happy Birthday!" to Scruffy. He turned 12 years old on November 20th. He is pretty energetic for an older dog. Scruffy loves going on walks, especially when we can stop and smell the roses or whatever else that looks interesting.

Scruffy is a beautiful boy inside and out. He is a gentle soul who would love to find his forever home.

Happy Scruffy.

Heeeeere's Scruffy!

Scruffy... I think this handsome guy should be a Prince or Duke or even Bob. My 6-year-old neighbor boy told me there is a Scruffy in Scooby Doo. Well, what do you know.

Scruffy has been with us less than a week, but I wanted everyone to meet this amazing boy. Scruffy deserves a very special family. He was a very loved boy, but his master passed away. A close friend, a Good Samaritan, wanted to find another loving home for Scruffy and contacted RAGOM.

Scruffy is 11 years old, but pretty spry and very gentle and sweet. He is a nice walker and still loves his toys and likes to carry one around. His very favorite thing is lunch. He is always excited and more than ready.

We went to the vet today for his wellness checkup. He has no parasites, and all bloodwork came back excellent. He has a cataract in his right eye and needs to gain some weight (he will love that!).

Scruff has always been an only dog, so we are working on waiting our turn and taking treats politely. He has had no issues meeting his two new fur brothers, sharing toys, and sleeping quietly in my bedroom all night.

Scruffy will not be available right away. He needs to spend more time with us so we can fatten him up a bit and get to know him better. If you have a soft spot in your heart for the older dogs like Scruffy—who, through unlucky circumstances, needs a new love-filled home—please keep our Scruff-man in your thoughts.
