Introducing our newest RAGOM Darling Doodle Skye 15-262! She is a 7 month old black Labradoodle and is the cutest little girl ever! Skye is a large puppy with long legs, which means watching her tear around (especially in the house) is quite the hoot! She already weighs 43 pounds and will keep growing. EVERYONE at our vet clinic fell in love with her and commented on how much personality she has. Our vet even wanted to take her home! That just goes to show how charming this beautiful girl is!

Here is what I've learned about Skye in the week that we've had her. She is so adaptable and easy to have around. Skye came into our home and immediately ate her supper and then tried to play with our resident dogs, who really weren't too receptive at first! She is potty trained and has only had one accident in the house, which I blame on myself. She goes to our patio door to let us know she has to go out and then does her business in our fenced back yard. Skye is also used to going potty while on a tie-out or on a leash. She loves her crate and will go in by herself to chill for awhile when she needs some peace and quiet. She is crated during our work hours and has been fine so far. She did start to tear apart her crate cushion but since we've put toys and things to chew on in there she's been great. Skye does need a lot of exercise to wear off her puppy energy. She loves to run in the back yard and also thinks walks are fun! The one night she didn't get the exercise she needed she did a lot of barking and pestering of our resident dogs. Otherwise, barking has not been an issue. We are working on manners and commands every day because she lunges at her food dish and has done some counter surfing. There has been no resource guarding of any kind. Skye has been pretty darn good with our resident cats and tries hard to be gentle. Every once in awhile she'll take chase but it's all in fun!

Skye had a great vet checkup and is a healthy little (big) girl! She is microchipped and will need some boosters in the future. She did have a minor ear infection and is being given ear drops once daily. Skye is scheduled to be spayed on November 5th.

Skye came into RAGOM through no fault of her own. Her human sister has allergies so Skye can't be in the house anymore. Skye's owners knew RAGOM would help find her a wonderful forever family!

Santa came early for Skye the Darling Doodle because she was such a sweet and good girl this year. She has found her forever family! Congratulations to Miss Skye and the M family (including their precious Golden Doodle Peanut Butter)! It will be a joyous holiday season for all!

THANK YOU SANTA!

Happy Holidays RAGOM fans, it's Skye here! I haven't written any updates lately because I found the PERFECT family to adopt me. FM and FD were so excited for me and I couldn't wait to go to my Forever Family. One morning FM had a call and I knew something was wrong because she was crying. My adoptive family had just found out that one of the kids was allergic to pet dander and they couldn't adopt me. We were all so, so sad!
Things have been busy in my life lately. FM is working on manners with me and I have to say I think I'm getting much better. I'm still working on eating more slowly and counter surfing. I'm just such a big girl and food always smells so good that I can't help myself! FM says I AM making progress so I guess that's a good thing. I'm not barking nearly as much at my resident brothers when I want them to play but I will bark if I think someone scary is coming into the house!
It's great to be outside and I love running around in my fenced back yard. I'll go potty when I'm tethered in the front yard or while I'm walking on my leash. I still need to be watched when I'm in the yard so I don't try to jump the fence. I'm VERY athletic and can jump pretty high!
Skye15262c2.jpg I LOVE THE SNOW!!

I get along fine with my resident brothers, but love it when my human brother and sister's girls Skylar and Kuda come to play. We zoom around and chase each other until we're exhausted. I wish they could come to my house more often!
Skye15262c1.jpgHere I am with Skylar and Kuda waiting nicely for a treat after playing hard all day!

Here's my list for Santa:
A family to love me     A warm bed to snooze in      Lots and lots of toys to play with     Delicious treats to eat
I hope my Christmas wishes come true. If you think you'd love a new member of the family, contact your Placement Advisor.
