Our beautiful, gentle Golden girl has been adopted and is "home" now. Sophie (Jenna) is such a magnificent Golden girl and about the best you can have. She is doing so well and she is home with her new mom and dad and two Golden senior sisters.
She has a large fenced yard and trips to Arizona in her future (bonus!). Her new family is just outstanding. They are prior adopters and very experienced with former commercial breeder Golden girls. It was such a great adoption day.
Sophie radiates love and kindness and is going to such a deserving forever home, and that is about as good as you can get! It is all about the dog. A bonus of fostering is meeting such great families who devote the time, effort, and love to searching for and adopting a rescued Golden.
Pat and Greg, you two are just the best and thank you again for driving all the way to us in South Dakota! Hugs and kisses to our Sophie. I miss you so much already.

Here is our new girl Jenna, whom we call Sophie. She is 10 years old, about 62-63 pounds and about as soft of a coat as you can touch. Sophie will be spayed on Tuesday, May 1. Sophie is a prior breeder girl and has now been retired to RAGOM.
Sophie is a very quiet, gentle girl who is ever so beautiful inside and out. She seems much larger in photos, but in reality she is only 62 pounds, a very nice-size blonde Golden Retriever who is enjoying the good life now.
She is housetrained and is fine whether in a crate or lying wherever she wants to. She is currently being fostered with two other dogs and two other cats, all of whom she is totally fine with.
Due to her gentle, quiet nature we feel that young children or a busy home would not be appropriate. She enjoys outside and takes her time going in and out but is getting much more familiar with the routine.
She does quite well on walks, which is amazing; we use a harness. She has the softest coat ever and yes, typical Golden, loves to be pet and loved up! Her teeth are OK but seem almost all filed down, so Sophie is on a soft diet for now. Her teeth will get checked out more thoroughly during her spay.
Sophie is in very good health and will thrive in a home where she can enjoy a fenced yard and another adult dog. Cats are totally OK. She is doing wonderful and will be looking for that "Golden" home where she can be spoiled and loved the rest of her days.
