Stella has been adopted by the S family! She has landed in a home full of love, with lots of furry friends to play with. She will enjoy the Golden Life she deserves.

Stella has been enjoying a few days of playing at the doggie daycare center near our home. The staff said she loves playing there and gets along with all the other dogs very well.
Due to the fact that Stella guards her food and her bones, the age restriction for children is listed as 12+ for safety reasons.
Stella will require continued training in her adoptive home. We are currently working on the "sit" and "down" commands.

Stella has been busy playing and going for walks and has lost a pound already. We also discovered that she loves water and is an avid swimmer. She has enjoyed chasing leaves on the windy days we have had lately.
She plays very well with my resident dogs. She loves to chase them and also be chased by them. She is a very happy dog!

Stella 17-203 is a beautiful and energetic Golden Retriever. She is heartworm-negative, crate trained, spayed, and a very happy dog. She is up to date on all immunizations and preventatives. She is house trained and has not had any accidents in my home.
She currently weighs 49 pounds, and the vet would like to see her shed just a few pounds to be healthy. She has no other medical issues.
She does resource-guard her food and bones, so she must go to either a home where she is an only dog or a home that is very familiar with resource guarding and how to be vigilant at feeding time, plus not allow bones to be in any areas of the home that other dogs may share with her. She is fine with sharing sticks or balls with other dogs.
Stella 17-203 enjoys playing with other dogs and needs regular exercise. She tends to pull the leash on walks, so we have been using a Gentle Leader.
She is a very loving dog, craves being petted, and enjoys being groomed.
