Sweet Taffy has found her forever home with Emily and Ryan, who will give her double the love, lots of walks, and a nice fenced-in backyard! She was happy and willing to go, as I think she and Ryan have a special bond - she is very fond of him (I think the feeling is mutual!).
This good girl will be a wonderful part of their family. They were very excited for today, and Taffy was as well. A follow-up text shows Taffy sleeping and snoring away at her new home - it was a big day for sure!

Taffy is such a good girl! She is truly a great companion, willing and able, and happy to be with you!
Taffy is calm and steady and seems to be quite happy. She has done well meeting other dogs (actually likes it) and has spent a significant amount of time with several dogs without incident.
She loves going for walk, doing her happy dance when she suspects you’re gearing up for a walk. She also loves her bones, spending hours working on it.
She does not get rowdy, but is a calm observer with natural curiosity. She adores getting her tummy rubbed. A real Golden!
Taffy is doing great. Having lost a few pounds, she’s more spry and lighter on her feet. She is a low-activity pup, as she is perfectly happy sleeping away next to you.
She will let you know when she needs to go out by standing and staring at you - you won’t miss the sign! She eats regularly morning and night, and does fine when I am away for a long work day. She has free roam in the house and does not get into anything at all.
Taffy is really a sweet girl who just wants to be loved and be a part of your life. In return, she will be a loving, gentle, low-maintenance companion that will warm you heart.

Sweet Taffy is doing great! She is a gentle, loyal companion that loves being near you, snuggling on the couch, or sleeping like a log (never moving) on the side of the bed. She loves her walks, doing a bit of a jig when the leash is brought out. She also loves her bones, though she’s not much of a toy gal.
She has dropped a few pounds on the green-bean diet, and I think losing a few pounds has put a pep in her step. She hasn’t been a retriever (play-wise), although recently, she did bring back a stick three times (then lost interest)! I think she is feeling great, and her activity level has increased slightly.
Otherwise, Taffy prefers a quiet home, resting much of the time, although she has stayed with 3 other dogs while I was on vacation for a week and did great! No problems meeting other dogs.
She has done great while I am at work, not an issue - even if it gets to be long. She has free roam of the house, and has been a perfect guest. Steps are no problem for her, although using some non-skid strips on wood stairs will help any dog.
This sweet girl is a darling pup that just wants to be loved and will easily wiggle into your heart.

Taffy has had a great 2 weeks, resting and snuggling. Such a good girl, she will make a wonderful companion as she’s very happy just hanging out with you.
She acclimated very well to her new foster home, eating and sleeping just fine. The vet gave her a clean bill of health, although she could drop about 10 pounds to reach her ideal weight of 60 pounds.
Taffy looks like she has a bit of Lab in her, as she is a Golden Retriever mix, but her personality is definitely that of a Golden Retriever: sweet, gentle, attention-loving, affectionate, and happy.
Her previous home was too busy, making her growly at the pesky resident dog and protective. But as an only dog, she is a very mellow and easy-going pup. Her ideal home will have her as the only child, with no cats, dogs, or kids.
Taffy’s not a super-active gal, although she loves her walks, her bone, and long naps. She pulls a little at first, but settles down and gets into the rhythm. She sleeps on the bed, and once in place, she doesn’t move.
Taffy will be a terrific buddy, happy to snuggle on the couch and live the Golden Life.
