Whiskey really is 78 lbs of pure puppy and a true diamond in the rough!
He has settled into his new schedule nicely. We start the day around 6 AM where Whiskey has breakfast and we go out for about a 1/2 hr to a 1 hr walk before I take off for work. During the work day, he stays in a den with a baby gate. I keep his kennel in the room with the door propped open because he likes to sit in there occasionally. Usually, I come home over the lunch hour, but he can go a full work day alone. When I get home, we head out for a potty break then have dinner and go for another 1 hr walk. At night, he has a chewy and after it's play time!
During Whiskey's first few weeks here, he has made great improvements with obedience! He is walking great with a gentle leader. On walks when we pass others, I say "Greet" and he does not jump or bark anymore. We are still working on this when other dogs pass by. He will bark at them (not aggressive barking, he just wants to play!) and pull you towards them. He is very strong so will need someone who is able to work with him on this.
Play time at night is really the only time he uses his mouth inappropriately. He will gently grab a hold of hands, but has never bit. We are working on learning "Gentle" and he seems to know to replace hands with the nearest toy. He does jump up when he gets excited, but he understands "Off". He also loves to cuddle so he views the couch and the bed as the perfect time to snuggle up.
With obedience classes or some training at home, Whiskey will make one lucky family very happy!!
