Willie is a gorgeous English Cream Golden Retriever puppy born on May 18th to Patzy 17-106. He has had his first round of vaccinations and will be neutered in a couple of weeks. Willie has been raspy after eating. The vet checked him out and did a chest X-ray--his lungs are clear. She thinks he will out grow it as his anatomy catches up. But we will be keeping an eye on him. He is a typical 6-week-old puppy--chews EVERYTHING, digs, runs, and tumbles over his own feet. Willie is the whitest puppy along with his sister Reba 17-124. Just adorable! And very snuggly. He has been socialized with all ages and colors of people, many types of noises from vacuum cleaners to lawn mowers, thunder, planes, etc, floor surfaces, and is very well-adjusted. His socialization will need to continue in order for it to be sustained. He has a lot to learn, and it is a big responsibility to assist a puppy to become a well-adjusted adult dog. Are you committed to helping him be the best dog he can be?

Please remember as you look at these adorable pictures:

  • Puppies are a LOT of work in their first year!
  • Puppies have small, immature bladders and cannot go a full work day without being let out. You will need to make arrangements for someone to come in midday to let her out until she is 6 months old.
  • Puppies NEED obedience training, socialization, and manners training. RAGOM gets many unmannered, undersocialized dogs surrendered due to the simple lack of training.

Little Willie had a cyst hanging down inside the back of his mouth that caused him to 'gurgle' when he breathed and especially when he ate. It didn't hinder his play energy or how much he ate. We had him seen by Dr. Jen Myers, an Internal Medicine Vet and we discovered he was born with it and it was attached to his skull inside. Willie had a CT, MRI and surgery to remove it on 7/28. Thank you to all of the donors who made this possible!! Willie recovered within one week and no more 'gurgley boy'!
He was adopted by a wonderful young family with 2 very excited kids and I know he will be very loved!
