Hannah  13-349 is a 9 year old returning RAGOM girl.  Hannah  is spayed and currently weighs 80+ pounds. Her surrendering owners recently vetted her and it looks like she's up to date on shots. She was returned to RAGOM because of changes to her adoptive family's living arrangements. She was terrified during the transport but as soon as she met one of the resident dogs, she calmed down. She has met the other two residents and it's clear she's very comfortable with dogs...and that she needs them in her life. She ignores the two cats. She is housebroken and is just a very nice girl. She spent her first night here on a dog bed in the bedroom. We are dog sitting so this morning she met a giant Standard Poodle and another RAGOM Golden very nicely.

She ate dinner last night (and breakfast this morning) but I did have to leave the room before she would eat. She didn't come with any of the Alpo she had been eating, so she is now eating Fromm Grain Free and she seems to like it. She has already graduated to free roam of the main level of the house. We have removed her long leash as she comes nicely into the house from outside when called, especially when another dog comes too. She will come to me outside now that she trusts me a bit. We'll be grooming and vetting her within the next week and will update more as we learn more about her.

She has found the toy box and likes what she has found.

Hannah has been doing well at our house. She is crate trained. I found that out the other day when I couldn't find her....she was in the crate that is set up in the dining room for one of the residents. She was very happily curled up sleeping. Since then, I've actually put her in the crate, shut the door and left....and when I came home she was fine.

She had a bath and oh my, the drama! You would have thought I was killing her. Finally one of my resident dogs, Finnegan, came over and laid down next to us....she settled down enough to actually get soaped up and then rinsed off. Everyone survived and she is now clean. We'll see how brushing goes later this week.

She also has settled down for the night and stopped whining and randomly barking. She does wake up with the light, but during the work week, so do we, so it's all good. She is very sweet and fits right in to our sometimes (like this week) crazy household. More updates as we continue to learn about her.

Very comfortably sleeping by the fireplace.

On Friday, a mere 24 hours after arriving, Hannah's foster decided she had to have her feet groomed. Her nails were shockingly long under her slippers and the clicking on our wood floors was too much. It was quite a surprise to find that she handled it all by taking a nap. She loved it and didn't even mind the nail cutting. She still clicks some but she can now walk much easier. Hopefully she handles her bath and brushing as easily.

She has a "funny" habit of wanting something in the middle of the night. On her first night, she woke up and paced three separate times....2 a.m., 4:30 a.m. and again at 6 a.m. She also randomly barks. Last night, her second night here, she waited until 5 a.m. to start pacing and barking. Since her nails were shorter, it wasn't as annoying as it had been the night before, but the barking is still annoying. The other dogs ignore her and she laid back down when told to and was quiet until it was actually time to get up. Looking back at her original bio, it looks like she's done that in the past as well. We are hoping that behavior fades as she gets used to us.

She's also found the parakeets. She loves to stand and stare at them. They are used to being stared at by dogs and cats, so they just get louder and scold her. So far, that's all that's happened. She has also seen her reflection in the fireplace screen. She likes it. She's spent a considerable amount of time looking at herself in the glass. More updates to come.....

Pretty relaxed, yet very alert
