Hi Everybody, I'm one of the new kids on the block and although I cannot be adopted yet, I thought I would let you know that I'm here and in a couple of months, I will be good to go to my forever home.

You see, I have some doctoring to get taken care of. I came all the way up here from Alabama, and I was not put on any heartworm preventives and now that I'm one year old, I have heartworms. Dang it anyway! My FM and FD say that I'm just the cutest thing they ever did see, and they thought for sure I'd be adopted soon. But...you don't want me until I'm healthy and good to go, and I want you to see me at my best too. Now and then I get a bit crabby (Can you say FOOD HOG?) with the resident dog. I want her food, my food, and FM and FD's food too. And if I could find a way to get that darned frig open, I'd be in heaven. The steroids I'm taking are making me hungry as a horse. Okay, time to stop talking about food. I'm ready to eat my paw.

I'm a 57# pretty girl, the vet says I'm perfect weight. I'm one year old. I am half Great Pyranese, and half Golden. My prey drive is pretty high, but I know the fenced in back yard is as far as I can go. And if I could climb trees, those squirrels would not stand a chance!

It will probably be another 2 months before I am ready to see visitors. But I thought I should write to you, because my new permanent mom and dad might just be out there waiting for me! Stand in line folks, stand in line. No fighting. ;)

Stay in touch, watch for news from yours truly. As far as good dogs go, I'm one of the best. My FM says so, and I know she'd never lie.

BYRON,LARRY,BRODY AND BETSY BRUHN Merry Christmas from: Byron, Larry, Brody and Betsy Bruhn

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

Hi folks, Sue here. I am making this short because I really don't feel very good. Do you know how bad heartworm hurts? I got a shot yesterday for it (my mom took me to that nasty vet place) and last night I was so very tired. Today, I don't feel good.

I do still love the snow! My Foster Sister Frannie has taught me the good things we can do in snow. My FM calls us snowplows! We bury our noses in it and scoot along plowing snow. And we jump in it and eat it, and dig in it. I can't believe they don't have this in Alabama, cuz it is such good fun!

I have to be a good, quiet dog now for 4 weeks and then go back to that nasty vet place for another one of these yucky shots. My FM and FD say they love me, but sometimes I wonder! This is sure no fun.

I do have someone who wants to meet me and I have that to look forward to! I hope this is a good meeting, cuz my FM tells me there are people just looking for the right pup. I might belong with this lady coming to meet me! I love my FM and FD, but I guess there is someone out there that is just perfect for me. I'm excited just thinking about it! :)

Okay, I need a nap. I have discovered laying on the couch is nice. Nobody kicked me off, so I guess it's okay. Why didn't I do this sooner???

Paws crossed for me, Susie Q,

Sue
