In addition to LOVE this dog has the following requirements:
Entered Foster Care Fence Kid Friendly Another Dog Cat Friendly
6/27/2014 Not required Age 10+ Optional Not tested
This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Jed is an 8-week-old male Crème Golden Retriever. His date of birth is May 6, 2014. Jed will be available for adoption after he completes his neuter surgery, has his wellness exam, and receives his microchip.

Jed is a puppy with a personality to match his rambunctious activity level. He has a voice and is not afraid to use it. When he gets going, he has a funny little warble yodel at the end that sounds so funny.

So, with all puppies, potty habits are a work in progress and we try and go out every hour with a treat at the end to reinforce both going outside but also for coming when called. We are also working on kenneling up and when not monitored, he is kept in a puppy pen with a few toys to keep him busy. Jed sleeps from 10:30 to 5 am and does not stay dry yet and he also does not cry out to go out in the middle of the night.

Jed is learning to get along with two adult Goldens and one small Doodle, but needs remedial skill building on learning cues sent by my pack. It took only one try to master multiple stairs and he now runs up and down them with ease. He also sits for treats and, for a puppy, has a soft mouth. Jed is at the very oral stage of development, so his teeth are very sharp and attention, cuddles, and pets are removed when he uses his mouth to discourage this from becoming a bad habit.

Jed has been out for leash walking and like a true Golden, he puts the leash in his mouth to help walk himself. I will be including some pictures as he is a small peanut who is very cute.

I have scheduled his wellness exam, vaccinations for an 8-week-old puppy, fecal test, and microchip for this Friday. Next will be his neuter and he will be ready to make some family very happy. Contact your placement advisor if you are interested in this little man.

Updates

Friday, July 18, 2014

Jed completed his neuter on Tuesday and is doing very well.  His energy level was only affected about 24 hours and now he is back to his rambunctious self.  He is having a great time with new foster Ben 14-192 playing the bite my face game.  They can play forever.  Jed decided to go out about 12:30 am this morning to potty and disappeared into the dark yard only to come running when I rattled the treat bag.  His response to the sit command is spontaneous and consistent when he enters the closed in porch.  Jed will be meeting a family the following weekend after this weekend.  They have been waiting a very long time and are very excited about meeting this little man.
