Hi, my name is Misty. First off, I would like to thank Kay and Joe for the Holly doanation that they gave for my kennel pal Annabelle . We sure do appreciate it. Thanks so much for helping us puppers out. My kennel pal Annabelle came into RAGOM a little over a week before I did. When Annabelle's previous foster knew she really needed a foster home with a larger, confident dog, my foster mom and foster dad stepped up and said that they would take Annabelle and me so we could be together again. I am 9 years old and foster mom has gotten me spayed. I was weighed when I went to see the good doctor and I weigh 68.5 lbs. The surgery went well, but I sure was mopey for a few days. I did not want to eat, but foster mom says that is because of the meds I had to be on after the surgery. I am doing very well now and I am back to eating just fine. Because I was an outdoor dog, I am learning what the good indoor life is like. I am learning...."we DO NOT chase the cats," but foster mom says that I really should go to a home where there are no cats. I am food aggressive and I have learned to stay out of the kitchen while foster mom fixes breakfast and supper. I am also toy aggressive at times, so all of the toys have been put up. I have lots of manners to learn since I was never taught any. I do put my paws on the counter and like to take things off of it, especially paper. I jump up on people when they sit because I like a lot of attention. I am very lovable; I just need a lot of work on indoor things. Even though I have lived with Annabelle for 8 years, foster mom has discovered that I really need to be an only dog. I am a "people" dog and not really a "dog" dog. Stay tuned for more about me as I am a work in progress from being an outdoor dog to becoming an indoor dog.

Well, I'm here to tell you that I have finally learned some manners here and have turned out to be a pretty good dog. I guess that after being an outdoor dog, I just had to learn the manners of being an indoor dog and that I can't always have things my way. I've learned that when foster mom is fixing my breakfast and supper, I have to stay out of the kitchen and on the hardwood floor. I stand just at the edge, but I do not go into the kitchen. If I forget and go into the kitchen, then all foster mom has to do it to point her finger and I go to where I am suppose to be. Foster mom and foster dad are proud of me for that. I have not started any scuffles since the two big ones shortly after I arrived. There again, I have learned that things don't always go the way I want them too. I am still crated at night and when no one is home during the day. Even if no one is going to be there for only 10-15 minutes, I used to be crated, but I am now allowed out at those times and I have been a very good girl. I am basically leaving the cats alone now. Once in a great while, I will forget, but a simple reminder that we do not bother the cats and I leave them alone. All the balls and the bones can be left out now and I no longer think that they are all mine. I still want to tear apart the woobies, so they are being kept up until I can learn that I do not tear them apart and eat them. I am not jumping up on people as much either. I've also learned that I do not have to do that to get attention and pets. Once the bitter, bitter cold and all of this snow goes away, then I will be able to go on some walks. These country roads are not very good at this time. I do run, run, run all around the backyard in this snow. So, this living inside life has turned out to be pretty good now that I have learned some manners.
