Boone 17-243A

Profile

Boone is a 6-month-old purebred Golden Retriever that was rescued from a commercial breeding auction. He is one of the calmest puppies I have ever fostered! He is just very sweet and loves to be by people. He is still a puppy and loves to chew on everything and needs plenty of exercise to avoid getting bored. Boone will make a wonderful addition to an active family who has the time and patience he will need for training.

Boone, our sweet puppy mill dog has found his forever home! He is going to a wonderful family and will have a younger four-legged brother to spend the rest of his days with.

Boone knows commands - "sit," "stay," and "come." Boone is very food-motivated, so will be easy to train. He is completely potty trained andloves the water and the snow! Boone does this goofy thing - when he is caught digging a hole, he will quickly lay on the top of the hole and not make eye contact with you. It's hilarious to watch him try and pull a fast one.

This is by far the hardest foster to let go... Boone is something special.

This is Boone! He is the calmest purebred Golden you will ever meet! He does love to run and play and definitely chew things that he shouldn’t. Boone has played with many different types of dogs and plays well with all of them. He is doing great on a leash and potty training. We are working hard on basic commands - he likes to jump up. We’ve only heard him bark a couple of times, once was at his own reflection in the oven!

He settles right down at bedtime. He does okay in his kennel, but can get bored so will chew up the bedding. If a bone is put in with him, he does just fine!

He does not need a physical fence, but tends to be scared of new noises, i.e., the crunching of leaves, cars driving by, the wind - so he sticks pretty close to our resident dog!

He loves his people and will sit at your feet and lean in for pats. The family that chooses Boone will be loved by one of the sweetest dogs.
