I am happy to announce that the adorable and playful Copper has been adopted! After a brief stay in the Twin Cities, where Copper joyfully entertained my two dogs and me, he has decided to take his fun-loving personality and "Golden spirit" to Duluth and live with a wonderful family who will have a lot of time and love to give to him.
Thank you to everyone who took an interest in Copper, and to all those who helped him find his new forever family!!

Copper has been with me for about 2.5 weeks now and continues to thrive! He remains a very busy boy and is happiest when he is running or playing. He certainly needs a lot of exercise.
Copper has met a few other dogs in our neighborhood - both a female and a male and he did wonderfully. Copper sometimes doesn't realize his own strength as he would run and knock them over. Overall, he did great!
We continue to work on not jumping when he's excited. He likes to jump on my husband and me when we get home for the day or when he is playing fetch outside. He is starting to improve on this.
We do crate him when we are gone to work for the day although I think he would do fine enclosed in a room or a level of the house. He does roam free at night but generally stays at the end of our bed or sleeps in his dog bed!
Copper is a very sweet boy and after getting in his exercise he loves to cuddle!
