This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Jerry, an 11-week-old Goldendoodle, has been with us for five days after being rescued, along with his mom and six siblings, from an auction in Missouri. He's all black, soft, fluffy, and all puppy. For the most part, he's calm for his age and wants to be held as often as possible. He follows FM around and is usually "hugging" her leg and pulling on her pants. He is working on crate and house training, both proving to be challenging right now. He loves to be outside and gets the zoomies instead of doing his business. He is not fond of the crate and raises quite a ruckus when confined in it. He's fed in his crate with the door left open to build positive association with it, and we'll work on very short stints in there in the coming days with the hope to progress the amount of time he will tolerate it. For now, he's sleeping on the couch with FM overnight since upstairs is off-limits until he's further along with potty training.

So far, we haven't had inappropriate chewing, but there's plenty of appropriate chewing objects available. He will grab a shoe if it is left out, but doesn't get far with it when it does happen.

Jerry has several foster siblings, none of whom are too excited about him being here, but it hasn't deterred him from following one of the the cats around, despite the swats and hissing, or from nipping at the resident Golden's feet until he gets a reaction. His puppy exuberance is not always welcome and he's learning dog language for "STOP IT" and "get away from me!"

Jerry had a vet visit on Wednesday and received an all-clear. He'll be neutered next week and ready for a family. We doubt we'll have this guy too much longer after that. We'll just have to overload on fluffy cuteness while he's here. We know he'll make a forever family very happy!
