How do you spell LOVE . . . . Leisha (pronounced Leesha).   Okay, so maybe that's not exactly how you spell love, but it's sure how you're going to get some.  Miss Leisha came to us from a family who no longer had time to care for her, but loved her enough to want a better life for her.  Thank you!

Leisha is a sweet, gentle, good natured, 9 year old girl.  Now that I've told you her age, please, don't turn away thinking she has nothing to give you.  She is still full of spirit.  We are finding out new things about her every day.  At first, we thought she was very quiet.  It didn't take long to find out she really likes to talk.  She has a deep voice with a sort of echoing howl.  She loves to let you know all about what she's thinking, it's also her way of letting you know she needs to go outside (so, it's hard to miss).  She has had free roam of our house since the first day and we have had no problems.  She is completely trustworthy.  She does not get on furniture, she does not stick to you like glue, she does not get in the way in the kitchen, she does not countersurf or get in the trash.  She DOES love her people, she DOES love to talk to you, she DOES let you know if there is someone at the door, she DOES know her basic commands, she DOES love to play with you, she DOES love to ride in the car, go for walks and play in the snow.  She is learning how to play with our resident dog Pepper Anne.  We don't think Leisha spent a lot of time playing with toys, but she is slowly getting the idea.  She is also learning to really enjoy her very own dog bed.  She is just such a sweetheart!!!

She went to the vet the other day and she got all her shots, but we haven't received all her test results back yet.  We will let you know what they say later.  We do know she tested negative to any worms, including heartworm - YAH!  She does have ear infection but we are getting that cleared up.  She does need to get out and walk more, she has very little muscle mass in her back legs.

So, if you would like to meet a wonderful girl who will absolutely love you with all her heart (and get you off the couch for walks), please contact PLACEMENTatRAGOM [dot] ORG

Our beautiful girl Leisha had a very busy day today, Saturday, March 14.  She was able to visit everyone at Leashes and Leads in Rochester . . . she made sure everyone could hear her saying hello!

We made a quick dash for home so Leisha could meet Sandy B (and her daughter).  Leisha went for a walk with Sandy and they decided life would be better if they could be together.  We are happy to announce (with a few tears) Leisha has gone home!

We love you very much beautiful girl

Your forever foster family

Leisha has decided she now likes to sit on FM's good furniture.  She is so cute my son couldn't resist taking her picture.  She looks very comfortable.

We have talked with a very nice lady who thinks Leisha will fit perfectly in her home.  We are having a little trouble getting our schedules worked out, but I'm sure we'll figure it out soon.

Don't forget to come to the Leashes and Leads Store in Rochester on Saturday, March 14, from 11:00-3:00, to meet some RAGOM beauties.

Leisha received a clean bill of health from the vet today, all her blood levels are normal.  Isn't that wonderful.  She is not a very big girl, currently 57 lbs, the vet said she could lose another 4-5 pounds.

We have been going for walks, as weather permits, and Miss Leisha walks without any tugging on a flat collar.  She even does this little prance.  You can tell she is so happy.  She is good with dogs and kids (of all ages), we don't know about cats though.  I doubt it would be a problem because she is so good natured.  She uses a tie-out with no problems, she will even wait for you to put it on and take it off.  If given the opportunity, Leisha would probably stay in her yard even without a fence.

We will be attending a meet and greet at the Leashes and Leads Store in Rochester, MN on Saturday, March 14, starting at 11:00 a.m.  Please stop by to say hello to Leisha . . . you will fall head over paws for this girl.
