Oh my gosh, my new mom came to pick me up today, and I was so excited I smothered her with kisses, and then I tried to run off with the scarf that was around her neck! My foster mom feels sad because she is going to miss me, but I told her not to worry because my new mom is the best! She has classes all set up for me, and I get to go to doggy daycare, too. And you know what else? Her best friend lives a few blocks away and she has 2 Golden Retrievers—so I’ll have some new BFFs.

Thank you, RAGOM, for taking in this litter of Lab puppies. The two I fostered are incredible dogs, and I feel so honored to have played a small part in their lives. Very best wishes to Phillip and his new mom!!

Phillip had a huge growth spurt this past week, and he is really filling out. He is getting to be such a big boy! He is easy-going and LOVES just hanging out with the other dogs outside. Last weekend when I was cleaning up in the yard, he was my helper. He followed me around and was right there by my side everywhere I went. It was pretty adorable!

His brother George 17-176 went home last weekend, and he shifted his attention to the resident dogs. He seems to take turns playing with each of them and learning their different play styles. He does a great job picking up their cues, so they’ve done really well with having a puppy underfoot. He is doing a fantastic job with potty training, so he is getting more and more time with “free roam.” I still put him out often so he doesn’t have much opportunity for accidents. He’s learning commands and has “sit” and “down” mastered, while “wait" and "leave it” are a work in process. :-) We’ve been practicing walking on a leash, and he is getting more and more comfortable with that—although I still do plenty of tripping over him when he unexpectedly shifts direction!

Phillip is a sweetheart, and I’m really going to miss him when he goes to his new home. His new mom is on a work trip, and he is all set to go home next week when she gets back!

Calling all Lab lovers!!!!!!!!! I’ve got the most wonderful boy for you! Phillip is a purebred Labrador Retriever who came from a breeder in South Dakota with his 3 siblings. He is being fostered with his brother George 17-176. They are best buddies and are inseparable as they explore, play, wrestle, and chase.

Phillip had his vet visit and he is up to date with all his vaccinations. He had round and hook worms and Giardia, and is being treated for all those. He’s also on preventatives. He is scheduled to be neutered on 9/13/17, and will be available to go home with some lucky family after that!

Phillip is the more active of the two pups. He is curious about everything, and I think he’ll be a dream to train because he is so responsive. He is learning basic commands, and we are making excellent headway in the potty training department. I have fostered a lot of pups, and I’ve never seen puppies get into the rhythm of our household so quickly. They are both content and so easy (relatively speaking—they are puppies!!!).

More updates to come as we get to know this sweetheart!
