Here he is, Saber. Saber is a 22 month old neutered PB golden. His birthday is coming up on 03/02/2014. Saber was brought UTD on shots and then neutered on 12/30/1013. Heart worm negative. Saber is really a joy to have around. He is very skittish of things and noises. We've been working on this. He loves to snuggle and belly rubs. Typical golden. He sleeps in the bed with FD or on the dog beds at the end of the bed. He is a tall boy and skinny. The vet said this was normal as he is a young golden and was not neutered. He will fill out and be a big boy. Probably around the 80 lb. range. He is really a big sweetheart and just wants to please. The SO did a online therapy dog training course with him. I will be looking into this to find out more about it. Saber will need to be worked with since he is scared of a lot of everyday things and nosies. He lived in a apartment, I don't know if that is the reason or just did not get much exposure to the outside world. His recall  needs to be worked on. He's fine in the house but outside needs work. He doesn't go anywhere but, sometimes he doesn't want to come back to you or in the house. Normally not a problem but with the cold weather we've been having it's not good. As of now I think Saber needs to go to a family that has another dog. Preferably one that's playful and active. I also think they should have older children 12 plus. A family that experienced with dogs and will be able to do obedience training with him. Also a home where someone will be around most of the time for him. Saber is a work in progress and will need a very loving, caring and involved family that is active and able to give Saber the time and training he needs to blossom.

Saber has really come out of his shell. He's still a little skittish of some things and noises. He still needs work on his recall, but has been better. He listens well in the house but outdoors still needs work on that. I have been using little treats when he comes back in and he has gotten better at his recall and coming in. He knows sit and shake (both paws) also lay down. Like I said, inside he is very good at commands. He loves being by his people and playing with my resident dog. He is very submissive and does well with other dogs as well as cats. He and my cat like to lay by each other on the couch. He is camera shy though. It's been hard to get good pictures of him. His neuter surgery went well and he is current on his vaccinations. He's still learning things. When I first picked him up he had no idea how to get in and out of a vehicle. Now he jumps right in and out and loves going on rides. He sleeps in my bed and must be right up by your head. Loves his belly rubs and smiles so big when he is getting one.

He loves the outdoors and nothing slows him down, not even all the snow. He just plows through it with ease. He is just one big love bug that will make you laugh with the things he does and will love you forever. Saber will still need a physical fence and I think will do best in a home with another dog. I did manage to sneak a couple pictures. Enjoy them. If you're interested in Saber, contact your placement advisor.
