Maple has found her very own forever family, and we could not be happier for her. She met Bill and Barb, and it was all over, no question about it, this was the perfect family for her, and she was the perfect girl for them. She is going to be spoiled and loved beyond words. We miss you, sweet girl, and we know you will have a wonderful life.

Maple would like to say Thank You to Barbara and Kenneth K for sponsoring her. Without the help of kind and caring people like you, we would not be able to help these beautiful dogs that need us. Thank You!
Maple continues to thrive here in her foster home. She loves people and seeks them out for attention. She also loves car rides. Here she is, along with Remington, on a road trip.

Maple's America the Beautiful
Oh beautiful for volunteers
That gave so selflessly
For strangers that have worked so hard,
To rescue my friends, and me
America! America!
We are so glad we are home
We love our lives, and happiness,
And will never more to roam
Pretty Miss Maple has settled right into our routine. She has been with us for 9 days and has been a very easy girl to have around. She has had her vet appointment, and I am happy to report that she is in good health, was heartworm negative, and fecal check came back negative for any parasites or worms. She does need to lose 10 lbs.
Maple is completely housebroken. She loves to go on walks and also loves to go for car rides and thinks she is going along anytime we go. She was crated the first 2 nights here, but has been sleeping in a doggie bed in our bedroom for the last week. We just baby-gate the door, and she settles right in.
Maple loves tennis balls and toys. She can be a bit possessive with them, so we are working on that. She is a good eater and sits before you put her bowl down. She respects the resident dogs' food and waits until everyone is done eating, and then they all check each other's bowls, to see if there might be a morsel left behind.
Maple has shown some fear when being introduced to certain other dogs and small children. She also has a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs in her new home.
Maple loves attention and is a very faithful companion, who has discovered that chairs and sofas are for dogs, too.
