Brandy is a very happy, healthy girl. She was surrendered from a good home that recognized she needed more attention and exercise than they could provide. She settled into our home immediately and did not have any issues with our senior resident dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Lab, although she wishes they would play with her. The seniors are fairly sedentary except for their daly walks. Brandy can be the only dog in the home or she would benefit from an energetic dog that will play with her. 

Brandy likes to talk to her humans when she is happy and when she wants to go outside or eat. She sounds a little like Chewbacca from Star Wars and even came to us with her own stuffed Chewbacca toy! She also has very comfortable dog bed that our resident dogs like to use and she doesn't seem to mind. She also shares her toys. She loves to be petted and scratched and will do the Golden "lean in." She takes treats gently.

Brandy is spayed and up to date on all shots and preventatives. She was treated for Lymes Disease when she was two and she is going strong. She sometimes has a stiff right back leg and takes meds for it once a day.

She walks well on a leash, but does pull when she sees a squirrel. Brandy is overweight and will benefit from daily walks. She is at 83 pounds, and her ideal weight would be around 65 pounds. We have her on a diet, and she is getting the exercise she needs. With some weight loss, her joints should feel a lot better.

Brandy would bring joy to a home as she has so much love to give!
